Torchy`s Tacos in Richardson

I love Torchys Tacos, but the customer service we recently received was bad enough to write a review. My husband wanted to place an order over the phone for myself and our kids, as soon as the employee answered the phone he had a horrible attitude, when my husband picked our food up he(employee) had messed up our order and took everything out of our bag and took out the extra taco we didn’t order, all the while sighing and rolling his eyes as if he wasn’t the one that had messed it up. This was 8/5 around 11 am. Anyways, we’re hoping to have a better experience next time, this hasn’t happened at any other location.

The staff is so nice here. We visited 8/4 around 1.30p. Somewhat busy and the bartender knows what she is doing. The Hillbillies nachos was so freaking good. I took too long to try this place. Ughhh. We each ordered 2 tacos and couldn’t down the 1st one. It was too much but I’mNot complaining at all. Also, I love mango margarita. The best I have tried.

You absolutely can’t go wrong with the variety of tacos they offer here. The atmosphere is very upbeat and friendly. Staff is pretty attentive to the whole process of order to delivery to your table. You won’t be disappointed.

LOVE THE TACOS! Seriously 2 tacos will get u full! But i love their queso! Besr ive ever had!!!!! In the picture it is the Democrat and crossroads (my fav)! A must-eat place for sure!

Burritos of all kinds. Taco plates and salsa. Fresh made to order. Ambiance is a plus.

The tacos are generally always great. The service is hit or miss. Attitude of the employees is not always positive. They don’t keep the dining room area clean. Out of the 6 tables that are open or available, (limited seating due to covid) ALL 6 have trays left on them. We have been here for roughly 20 min and not a single table has been bussed or cleaned off. It is was about the same as our last visit but I didn’t count the number of available tables vs tables that were dirty.

This place is worth checking out if you can find one. He started off with a food truck built his clientele up then went for it Merry Christmas to me. The Green Chili Queso and chips is so good. The Taco selection is over the top great tasting and the Margaritas well lets just say AMAZING. This is truly a Texas secret thanks for everything hope to eat here again soon.

Love this place. I originally found Torchy's while on a business trip to Austin. Now they're in the DFW area! GREAT food!My favorite is the Crossroads.

Food is always good, however service and cleanliness is severely lacking. I called ahead and got rude employee that hung up before I was able to ask a second question, and when I arrived my order was not ready and had to sit at a dirty table to wait on food.

Worst food ever. We ordered through Favor. When the food finally arrived it was nothing like I remember Torchy's to be. We ordered a bunch of tacos, Beef fajita, Baja Shrimp, and the ones with fried chicken. All the fried food was overcooked and stale. Like they tried to re-fry it warm it up. Do not order from this location.

Great food and great service. If you show up for lunch and there is a long line go grab a seat at the bar, you can get the full menu there.

Delicious as always. Staff didn't seem to pleasant. But I ordered chips and queso as an appetizer and it arrived after my meal, disappointed. Maybe next time I'll order to go.

My wife and I LOVE this place, probably order once a week its dangerous. They have the best guac and amazing breakfast tacos.

Dirty! No sanitation practices. Tables had signs saying sanitized and clean for you. But they had water rings from drinks and scraps of food on them. We witnessed tables being cleaned and NO wiping or cleaning of any type being done and new people allowed to sit there. Food ok but not great. Queso is very good. Felt gross and dirty. Service mediocre at best. No greetings or friendliness. I will not be back.

Man I should have started coming here earlier. This place was all good. There are a lot of tacos to try and they're all unique. They are decent sized so you can eat two and be alright. I also had the chips and queso. I really liked the chips here. They're beep good. It was busy but the food didn't take long to come. Also, the ice is that crushed kind you get from Sonic but shaped differently. They have that Maine soda too which is fun.

Always amazing food here. The service and atmosphere are great and I've never had a bad experience. It can get busy at lunch so just keep that in mind. There is a.reason for the lines, it's that good.

Came here with friends after a walk at Spring Creek Nature Area. The place was very clean and modern. Ordered the 2 Trailer Parks with no jalapenos. Have to say it was pretty good, the chicken was well seasoned, and veggies were fresh. I thought it was a bit pricey (around 5 bucks per taco) but it was extremely good. Overall, food quality was good, customer service was good, but if you are looking for value then its not the place for you. Though I think you can find better taco place for better price around Dallas, but this is one of the best around its area.

Unique tacos in a nicely decorated TexMex ambiance. So many varieties to choose from makes it a little challenging. Expect some heart no matter your choice.

Fantastic tacos! Fast food style taco ordering with some of the best flavors out there. I'm not a huge fan of spicy things, but the food is delicious. I usually get the chicken or steak fajitas (or both). The chips and queso were also very good.

If I get covid 19 in the next week, it was from this place. I went there for my takeout order and I counted 4 employees with masks not covering their noses, and another in the kitchen with his mask around his chin. The food was good as it usually is, but I cannot recommend that anyone go here while the pandemic persists.

I called to place an order at 8:29-8:30pm or so and the person who answered the phone did not want to take my order because they apparently stop taking phone orders at 8:30pm. I was told I would have to come in and place my order even though I was 10 minutes away. I was attempting to place my order ahead of time and be more efficient but was refused service over the phone. I'm writing a 5 star review because this place at least has a manager that cares. Tony came over and quickly spoke with me and apologized for the situation. I am a big believer in good customer service and was glad to see a prime example from the manager Tony. Thank you.

The food here is certainly good. Slightly overpriced in my opinion. I spent $11.80 for lunch. I got one average-sized taco, one large basket of chips, one very large bowl of salsa. And a 20-ounce drink. If I could have gotten two tacos for this price I would I think this was a reasonable price. There are no lunch specials or any kind of combo baskets. The music was way too loud and you can't really talk over it. Not my kind of place. Not sure I would go here again.

We've been to this Torchy's and several others numerous times. Great food and apps. Never really sat at the bar though yet. Today the line was decent long but only one cashier and in the bathroom the roll tissue to dry hands wasn't in sanitary condition. Minorly annoying. No bueno but overall very good restaurant. We'll keep coming for the food and the fum environment. We bring the kids sometimes and just stop in for a quick date night. Either way you can't go wrong.

Don’t order delivery service!! I love torchys we tried delivery for the first time and we got half the order! Called them they apologized we reordered the same thing and we got the cold old food they left out the first time not new stuff! The first time we got the cheese and no chips so time they sent the chips with no cheese!! Come on people it’s not that hard to get it right! And the door dash driver was extremely rude didn’t get out of her car honked the horn at me and tossed the bag out of her car window to me! Mind you with a glass bottle of liquor in it!

I ordered both of my tacos 🌮 from the “secret menu” - a panko encrusted tuna with fried bacon 🥓 & a crazy pulled pork creation with soft and hard shells. The size was really generous (I’m used to smaller tacos at other restaurant). Absolutely delicious, can’t wait to visit them again! Great guac too.

This restaurant is great for fancy tacos within a budget. These are not your traditional Hispanic tacos but instead tacos with a little bit of a twist. And their desserts are just as great. Tacos range around $4 per taco.

I've been to this location twice already and I have to say they have both been great experiences. The place is clean and the staff is pretty friendly!

Takeout was good, Social distancing is practiced. As with any takeout always nuke aka microwave or place in oven as extra precaution

The tacos are good and they're good size portions. I ordered the Republican and the Democrat and they're both great. Lots of meat and fillers. I didn't see if there was an option for another tortilla but I wanted another one.Personally, I think the prices are a little high for just a 🌮 ($3 to $5). Drink is separate as well as chips. In fact you only buy the taco and everything else is a side.The customer service was good and the people are friendly. The restrooms are clean and the inside is inviting. There is a bar. Overall a good place.

Very tasty tacos. The vegetarian options are excellent, specifically the Fried Avocado and the Dirty Sanchez. The dining area is kept clean and there was plenty of seating. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Food was old and hard as a rock. I went at 8pm. Maybe that is the shut off time for fresh food. It was disgusting at the most. So not Worth $4 for a taco . Very disappointed.

Update: JESSE, is the main reason my family and I come to this location. He's outstanding with people. We are happy that they have removed some of the unhappy cashiers from the Front. it would be great if they bumped Jesse up to general Manager along with the young lady name Asia. I feel like the staff has improved on the friendly scale! Tacos are as always delicious. … See my review before Jesse and Asia took Center stage.

Torchy's is solid. I would give a 5 if they had more vegetarian options. Right more they only have a fried avocado taco and elite corn

Good tacos. Pricey but two tacos make a good meal.

Had a large order around lunch 6+ people and it did take a bit of time to get it all ready 50 minutes. Other than that they did a good job cleaning the store and wearing masks. All the food tasted great! And we love the prices which is one reason as a big family we will choose this place.

The tacos where awesome, well cooked, flavorful, awesome salsa options and nice environment. I just found it to be a little bit expensive, hence 4 stars otherwise, in my opinion, this has all the qualities of 5 stars.

I have always loved Torchys. Their tacos are different from other places and the queso is amazing! This Torchys is very fast too. Babies even approve of the food!

Trashy Trailer Park tacos are the way to go! The food is super tasty here, the setting is also devilishly unique. Pleasant place to enjoy a good meal and good company. They also have a good bar here with draft beer!!! :)

I love this place! I especially love their breakfast taco’s! Whatever you order make sure to get the guacamole, it is amazing! You don’t normally find the quality of food in a restaurant that has as many locations as Torchy’s. It is refreshing to find a restaurant that has been able to maintain their quality while expanding their footprint all over Texas.

3 bucks for a dollop of beans and a sprinkle of cheese???!!! I've been to a lot of different Torchys locations from Dallas to Austin and they have never skimped, EVER not even on the plain old bean and cheese, until I came to this location!..I asked for a manager about 20min ago in hope's they could remake one but I'm still waiting for someone to show up. The employee said it will be just one minute until someone came to our table. NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN...PLUS THE GUY AT THE COUNTER GAVE ME ATTIDUDE AND MADE OUR ORDER TO GO INSTEAD OF FOR HERE AND OUR TABLE ENDED UP HAVING A BUNCH OF PLASTIC BAGS AS WE DUG OUT OUR FOOD. Don't come here! I spent $58 bucks for my order and they'll never see that again!

Okay. I'm a lover of all things tacos. And also have a gluten allergy. This place was amazing. Their taco options were amazing. The guacamole was amazing. The atmosphere was great. The staff were super kind and patient. When I come to Dallas next I will def make sure I stop back here. Worth your time to stop in and get some of the best tacos in Dallas 🙌🙌

Upbeat place, great tacos, friendly service. Being vegetarian, my options are limited, but I love them, so always visiting in off-peak hours. This is a popular hang-out, so there is wait time in the peak hours. Good for business lunches, makes people happy before the meeting - the music is loud, so this is not a meeting-over-lunch kind of place. Great for team dinners or group dinners as well.

Good food (like all of the locations), but this one has the worst service. Manager was unpleasant and unhelpful, wait times are long, and every to-go order we’ve gotten has had missing items.

Was horrible when we went in. Ordered online and the order took absolutely forever. Then we get home, and they forgot the queso. This was the last straw for us, and we will not be returning

Tacos are good and they stack them up. But not the best one I've ever had. Had the dessert and it was good but if they added ice cream it would be even better.

Home run for lunch today at Torchy’s Tacos in Richardson!! The food was so good and we were so hungry, we forgot to take the before picture of our food. But as you can see the queso was a hit! This is one of my favorite quesos around! We also had the beef fajita taco, trailer park taco (trashy style with queso), Baja shrimp tacos and the carnitas tacos. Great atmosphere too with cool chandeliers. They have a full bar bar as well. My only semi complaint is the our Cain sugar sodas rather than regular type sodas. Great spot! Check it out!

I love Torchy's. This locations is usually very very busy. The food is usually good, but we have had a few times when we received raw chicken. But we called and they apologized and refunded the order and have made efforts for it to not happen again.
